AVAILABLE WORK
Born Before Fire, 2026
acrylic on canvas, 60 x 48 in.
The American bison once numbered in the tens of millions across North America, before being driven to the brink of extinction in the nineteenth century. In Born Before Fire, the monumental presence of the bison fills the canvas, while a second, distant figure nearly disappears into the white background, a reminder that even the most powerful animal exists as part of something larger.
Through the Eyes of a Mexican Gray Wolf, 2019
acrylic on Belgian linen, 60 x 72 in.
The Mexican gray wolf is one of the most endangered subspecies of gray wolf in North America. The wolf portrayed in Through the Eyes of a Mexican Gray Wolf lived at the Wolf Conservation Center in New York. The reference photograph was generously provided by the Center’s curator, Rebecca Bose, as part of my long-standing relationship with the organization and its wolves.
